Today's special day is "National I LOVE My Feet Day!" Which has been observed annually on August 17th since 2015. Today is the day to appreciate how valuable our feet are, to practice good foot care and pamper our feet.
Our feet are our primary mode of transportation. They quietly and faithfully help us stand, swim, run, walk, play sports, jog, skip and dance. They take us to school and work. Our feet withstand all the things we do in our everyday lives and accomplish things our hands cannot.
My number one way to say "I Love You" to my own feet is to use a therapy ball as a foot massage. If you don't have a therapy ball, use a tennis ball or a solid rubber ball.
- Use the ball to massage the sole of the foot.
- Slowly Roll the ball along the inner arch and outer arch.
- Roll the ball under your toes. Using the ball to spread the toes.
